How understanding Western Medicine while applying Eastern Medicine
allows me to create the best care for your health, healing and wellbeing.

TASSY HENNESSY

Tassy Hennessy, a Board Certified, California Licensed as well as Nationally Licensed, Acupuncturist with a Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine, L.Ac., MSTOM, Diplomat AAPOM, B.S. Biology and Neuropsychology and Functional Medicine Provider specializing in Autoimmunity, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Psychology along with Acute and Chronic Pain syndrome wellness. She brings a diverse knowledge to her practice that involves a long history in healthcare, since 1989, in the Western healthcare system, as well as a blending of Eastern healthcare teachings since 2003. This 33-year healthcare history brings a diversity of knowledge, is fueled with an ongoing desire for continuing education, creating a holistic picture of diagnosing, treating and educating patients. The beauty of this integration provides an environment where patients can obtain an understanding of their health condition, regain control of their wellbeing by becoming a proactive participant and obtain the most well rounded care from the two health care systems.

From Ms. Hennessy’s very first biology class in high school, she knew that discovering “How it all worked, from the smallest particles to the largest know systems of the body and beyond” was her passion, curiosity and joy, which became a life time of inquiry.

While attending school, Ms. Hennessy worked as an EMT on a 911-response ambulance in Northern California. Moving to San Diego to study Biology and Neuropsychology at UCSD, she worked at Scripps La Jolla/Trauma Center in the Emergency and X-Ray Departments and volunteered in the Gastroenterology Department. She also worked at UCSD Medical Center and Paradise Valley Medical Center in the Hyperbaric Department, going inside the 14-person and 2-person chambers, attending to patients during their treatments. After her double Bachelors at UCSD, Tassy started a Wellness business while at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine then went on to receive her 4-year Masters degree, MSTOM, from PCOM in Acupuncture, Herbology and Chinese Physical Therapy, receiving her Board Certification in 2003. During the years at UCSD and with the hospitals, Tassy also volunteered for 7 years with the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team Nonprofit, (she served 4 years as their Treasurer), which responds with the San Diego Sheriffs Dept. to emergencies in cities as well as in wilderness and mountainous areas of San Diego County and beyond. After receiving her Acupuncture Board Licensure, Tassy continued her studies from 2003 on, for many years in Functional Medicine with Dr Datis Kharrazian, PhD, DHSc, DC, MS, MMSc, FACN, with the emphasis on in Autoimmunity, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Brain and Gut Axis, Hormone Pathways, Functional Blood Chemistry and Analysis. About 2005 Tassy became intrigued with the world of the microbiome and began her ongoing study and research into this world, studying with multiple practitioners. She also received her Diplomat degree and board certification with the American Academy of Physical Oriental Medicine, AAPOM with Dr. Kevin McNamee of the CHI, after which she was offered an instructor position. She went on to study with Doctor Natasha Campbell-McBride, Neurologist and Human Nutrition specialist and received GAPS certification in 2014, (Gut & Physiology/Psychology Syndrome) for conditions such as autism, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, schizophrenia and other conditions associated with the breakdown of the gastroenterology system. Ms. Hennessy continues her education in the fields of Functional Medicine of Autoimmunity, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neurotransmitter Biology, Orthopedics, Psychology, Immunology, Genetics and Epigenetics as well as Microbiome research.  She recently expanded her licensure to National status in 2020, allowing her to practice across the nation.

Ms. Hennessy has a wide variety of extracurricular and volunteer interests that involve many outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing, yoga, and Tai Qi but has never turned down the opportunity to play any sport, given the time. In 2012 she began volunteering with the nonprofit Operation Bigs-Big Borthers, Big Sisters of Camp Pendleton and was honored with the Operation Bigs-Big Sister of the Year award in 2013. She adds a bit of freedom, excitement and fun to her life by sport-bike riding, archery and participating in USPSA competition matches nationally and with the nonprofit organization Linea De Fuego, where she has been a volunteer for over 10 years, since 2011. She enjoys cooking great meals and creating simple food-prep video content to help inspire people to see how easy and wonderful “real food” eating is. She loves going home to Northern California to visit with her awesome family, looks forward to seeing new places and is interested in meeting a variety of new people; especially when it involves a travel destination anywhere close to the equator. She continues to compulsively learn and collaborate with colleagues by attending medical, oceanographic, environmental and metaphysical seminars and retreats all around the world.

She enjoys her other businesses that blend health, wellbeing, joy, personal insight and meaningful connections. Along with the 3000-year-old history of acupuncture and Eastern Medicine comes another 3000-year old metaphysical system called Classical Compass Feng Shui. She uses this ancient system with compass readings of a building, as well as its construction data, to do numerical calculations with formula patterns to understand the energetics of the building as it pertains to the people living or working in the structure. It is actually akin to acupuncture for buildings and land, but it’s meant to benefit the people using the structure versus land applications that are meant to correct human-damaged land. She is known as the Feng Shui Doctor and gives lectures, courses and Classical Feng Shui Consultations for your home, office or land as well as yearly updates for the new cycle, Feb 4th of each year.

Ms. Hennessy also loves connecting with people in meaningful ways, guiding people to discover their own life answers, as she has done for years during the holistic treatment sessions, and also as a facilitation guide for Lifebook®, as a certified Lifebook® Leader. The 8-week facilitation helps people to level up their lives. The facilitation helps participants to dive deep into remembering who they really are. They actualize their full potential by unleashing their personal power to transform their lives in these 12 life categories: 1) Health & Fitness, 2) Intellectual Life, 3) Emotional Life, 4) Character, 5) Spiritual Life, 6) Love Relationship, 7) Parenting, 8) Social Life, 9) Financial Life, 10) Career, 11) Quality of Life and 12) Life Vision. She also leads a 6-week Lifebook® Deep Dive Boot Camp and 2-3, monthly accountability meetings for a 1-year cycle of the 12-categories of Lifebook®.

Ms. Hennessy has been working with people on an energetic level for over 25 years and is now sharing her knowledge in a Reiki Energy Certification Course; The Energetic Arts Certification. It is for those who feel called to be in the wellness and energy-healing circle, to be a facilitator of energy work to serve those looking to connect with their higher power of attunement.

She is the creator of ~Exotic Creatures®~ fine jewelry line, all creations are one of a kind special for the client’s energy and are meant to accentuate the beauty within.
