What is detoxification?

Throughout our normal day-to-day activities, our bodies are exposed to harmful toxins in our environment, due to:

• Poor diet – food additives, processed foods, lack of fresh fruit and vegetables etc.;
• little or no regular exercise;
• stress, smoking (even second hand smoke is dangerous), alcohol;
• personal hygiene products such as cosmetics, lotions, shampoo, cologne, deodorant, toothpaste and clothing detergents to name a few; 
• pesticides, heavy metals and industrial pollutants;
• Just to name a few of the thousands of toxic pollutants we encounter daily. Our bodies absorb these toxins, which prevent us from functioning at optimal performance levels. Unfortunately, we often do not realize this until too late. Our bodies’ become more and more lethargic as these harmful toxins build-up. Eventually, our immune system starts to break down and, inevitably, we become ill.

In order for our body to function optimally and rid our systems of these toxins naturally, we must rest 8-10 hours a night, have a flawless diet and exercise regularly. Since this is not the case with most people, it is impossible for our bodies to eliminate these toxins on it's own which leads to a build up in our systems. This build up can cause a wide variety of side effects, including:

• lethargy and tiredness
• headaches and migraines
• cold, flu and sinus problems
• bad skin, breath and body odor problems
